Friends of Canada hosted an informal Canada Day Celebration in the presence of Canadian Ambassador Keith Morrill at 19.30 on Monday, July 9, 2018 at La Piazza pizzeria, Chalandri, Athens. Friends of Canada bid a fond farewell to Ambassador Morrill by presenting a farewell gift for him and Jane Morrill – A ‘Dance your dreams’ print from Greek artist and FoC member Lila Koufopoulou (studio owner at Fine Arts Creations for Transformation & Wellbeing, http://www.lilakoufopoulou.com/ ).
Participants were also invited to bring items to donate to the Salvation Army (for the ‘By Your Side’ program for Greek families and people with their Greek papers) via FoC’s Welfare Network (volunteer Jean-Curtis Plante). Volunteer Dawn Lefakis ran the Canada Photo Booth.
