2015 - JUNE - THESSALONIKI - FOOD-FOR-GOOD FESTIVAL
Our Canadian Table will be participating at the annual, ethnic Food-for-Good Festival at Plaz Aretsou, Kalamaria, 8.30pm, on Sunday, June 7. You can help out by bringing a batch of meatballs and/or a salad, and/or helping to serve. Use 'contact' in the website menu to let us know - see you there!
UPDATE:The annual, ethnic Food-for-Good Festival at Plaz Aretsou, Kalamaria, Thessaloniki on Sunday, June 7 was great fun for the whole family! Thanks to Janet Koniordos, our Canadian table coordinator, and the many volunteers – including the Honorary Consul of Canada in Thessaloniki, Pantelis Petmezas, and his spouse Dora - Â who helped out, our Canadian table served up around 125 servings of a variety of meatballs & salads! Despite the inclement weather, the event was very well attended and made approx 15,460 Euros in total. That means that at least 12,000 will be distributed to the various charities. BRAVO to the ladies from approximately 40 countries who participated with food stands!
