Our Welfare Network will be collecting donations of adult disposable diapers (any size)
UPDATE: We had overwhelming participation – more than 110 guests – for the informative presentation ‘Canadian Embassy Consular Services-Up Close and Personal‘ given by Canadian embassy’s consular section:ÂÂ Brigitte Fournier (counsellor and consul), Areti Velissariou (Senior Consular Program Officer) and Angela Loisos (Passport Officer). We also thank the consular section for the door prize: 3 bottles of maple syrup. The event was also attended by Julie Crôteau, (Counsellor, Political, Economic & Public Affairs) and the Canadian Ambassador to Greece, Robert Peck.ÂÂ
Participants generously donated several adult disposable diapers to be given to the Asylum Aniaton by the Friends of Canada ‘Welfare Network’. Thanks must also be given to Neo Elleniko, for sponsoring the meals for the embassy staff, as well as for providing a great meal at a great price for the rest of us. We must also thank volunteers Kostas Vrontos (sound/tech) and Fran Kaltsikes & Dawn Lefakis (decoration/nametags/clean-up/etc).
