2014 - JUNE - THESSALONIKI - FOOD-FOR-GOOD FESTIVAL

Thessaloniki’s annual ethnic Food-for-Good Festival on June 1 was once again a big hit!

Approximately 1,800 attended the festival, with our Canadian table dishing out 215 servings of delicious meatballs and fresh salads. Congrats to Canadian Table coordinator Janet Koniordos, and to all those who, many for the first time, brought food, served, and/or attended the Food Festival. Special thanks to the Honorary Consul of Canada, Pantelis Petmezas, his spouse Dora, and their daughter Eleni – who cooked/served/cleaned up with the best of ‘em! The proceeds from the festival (17,500 euros) go to local charities.
